Sir, i had science stream in class XII and secured 90% in the CBSE board exam. I had given a few engineering entrance exams but wasn't satisfied with the colleges allotted to me. i didn't want to drop a year. so i was left with no other option and i thought of pursuing my interest in English. so i joined sri venkatesawara college in b.a. Eng hons. i had studied 1 month when the results of kerala engineering entrance exams came and i had secured rank good enough to get me the Government College Of Engineering, Iddukki in Electronics and Communication. my parents and a lot of relatives told me that it had much more scope than English. in the meantime the 10 cutoffs for OBC's drew my attention wherein i could easily get B.A. economics (hons) in my college and could retain the hostel too. so i applied for a course change and i got admission into economics as it had good scope and also i wasn't finding English as a course interesting. sir, now my dilemma lies in the fact that though i have joined economics, i have missed 1 month class and being from science background without economics, i am finding it difficult to understand it, though i think that i will cover up the syllabus by November end when i will have my I semester exams. but i can still join the engineering college with the classes starting at around 18th Sept. sir though i am a native of Kerala, my whole family is settled in Kashipur , uttarakhand. so joining econ (hons) was also done keeping in mind that delhi is nearer to home rather than Kerala. sir all i want from you is to please consider both the courses along with the quality of the college and just tell me which has better scope and a good future job prospect, also considering that i have equal interest in both the courses forgetting English. sir, i can summarize my whole problem as-" Which is better? 'B.A.Economics(hons) at sri venkatesawara college, Delhi university..........or........electronics and communication engineering at Government College Of Engineering, Iddukki' " sir i would be highly obliged if you reply me as soon as possible. ?????

Hi....

Coming from Science background gives you the freedom of moving around and choosing your branch for higher studies, hence this confusion. I would advise you to take the Assessment Test and identify your interest area and try and build your 'career/future occupation' around it.

Hi....may I know your name pls?

Your have your answers in the question itself. You came up with the options of Eco./Engg. and wanted an advise. Now, they are ruled out(not sure why) you created another dimension by adding Medical Coaching. May I ask you, why Medical coaching & can't it be taken up while doing your Eng. Hons along?
