Anil, You have two major entrance tests after 10+2 PCM. these are IIT - JEE and AIEEE. Some states also conduct their own tests. By clearing these tests, you get a college and a stream on the basis of merit. There are so many branches in engg each with its own career prospects. you have information tech, Electronics and communication, Comuter science, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical etc. Please feel free to ask anything regarding specific trades.
