Hi Partha,
With your mechanical background and degree, you may be the best candidate for IT job in a mechanical engineering based company's IT division like Honeywell, Bosch, Siemens to name a few.
You may be taken as a functional consultant in some cases without any specific knowledge of programming, but such opportunities are very rare. So you can take up a course like that of SAP certification or other developer certification programs and apply accordingly. Especially SAP certifications are for people with minimum 1 year of experience in a functional domain.

thanks sir...actuly i want to be an computer expert. like i want to work for IT companies as a software engineer/consultant/hacker like this. i want to become somewhat like security guru Ankit Fadia.
as people says turn your hobby into profession, you will enjoy work more....i realy enjoy playing with computer tricks, softwares and internet. so i planned to make my career as an computer expert. i did my degree in mechanical field as i was aware of just few career opportunities. it took a long time to find out what i actually love to do.
please tell me, can i brighten my career in IT ? as i dont have any computer degree
next thing, will my mechanical degree hamper my career growth in future ?

Hi,
You can make your career in IT. Ankit Fadia did not had any degree when he was called to deliver a lecture in IIT Delhi.
Your mechanical degree will never hamper in your career, provided you can back it up with certifications. And as you grow in IT your experience would surpass your degrees and even certifications. In IT world Engineers have gained good respect despite their non-computer background. IT companies have always hired engineers from other fields than computer engineers.
Wish you good luck,

thank you very much sir.
which course/certification you prefer for me ? i know a little bit C++ ( taught in b-tech 1st sem )
let me tell you about my plan , i dont have any dream company where i want to work. i just want to make myself a master/expert of computers. as i would know all computer tricks and every way to communicate with a system. or in a simplle words i want to play with computers. in future i will open a computer school (where i will research on couputer education techniques to make digital operation easier and apply it on students hence make them expert) or a IT farm. for which huge knowledge from the core is very much essential.
so please suggest me any course, which i start as my first step.
should i join any university for any computer course ? or learning languages, programs will work better.
i want to do something BIG, for me and for people.

Hello,
Automobile industry has many custom apps and they use C++ in some cases but in most cases the language is more older generations languages like python etc. but ya, you cannot learn those for getting job all at the same time. You can start with more common Java and then once you connect with some IT trainer like Aptect, NIIT, etc. you can proceed further.
Every BIG dream start with small steps, so move further and join for a program with one of the computer institutes nearby you. And keep looking. Connect with people working in companies like Honeywell, Bosch etc and get deeper into technology as the next step.
Good luck!
