I am a student of M.Sc. Physics at IIT-Kanpur. Although I am doing quite well in my course I feel I am not really capable of doing physics and hence I don't want to a PhD in it. I want to do a major in economics and shift to corporate. Is it a good idea?

You can go for Economics degree if you thing you are not good with physics but good with economics. Economics is good course and will give you good job in corporate. As you are keen on placement do it from good colleges only.
