After PG in microbiology you had got lot of opportunities in Microbiologists research and development laboratories of government and private hospitals, research organisations, pharmaceutical, food, beverage and chemical industries, agriculture e.t.c. Now as you are not working currently get enrolled for PHD program and try for teaching job. After getting this job keep on applying for company job. You can start apply for both teaching and company jobs. Whatever happen first go in that If you get it it is good if not then continue with your teaching and PHD. As PHD people in the field of microbiology are in lot of demand. You can also move in field like clinical research, forensic science, biotechnology, hospital management, bioinformatics e.t.c .
