hello. i'm will be passing out 12th(science) this year. i'm planning to pursue Computer engineering. i been through few softwares like VB,SQL,C+ throughout high-school and I feel i have good grasp at it. i want to go for Computer engineering, but i have heard that there is no much future for the computer field, computer engineering is not a evergreen field and in coming few years, there will be no computer branches in the graduation colleges. Is this a myth? Also which field is better , computer or E&tc(given that I want a future in software field)

Aditya computer is actually been offered at graduation level other than B.TECH. They can be offered as B.Sc(IT), B.Sc( computer science), BCA and there are also other short term, diploma or certificate course which can be done by students from any background .But engineering is evergreen field. There will be always demand for engineers especially quality engineers. If you have B.TECH degree you always enjoy preference from companies in whatever field you are. Many of the people who have studied computers not from B.TECH way have to study upto Masters. After B.TECH it become optional you want to do M.TECH or not. So these are advantages. So if you are interested in engineering then you can defenitely take up the course of your choice. There is nothing like which field is better. It is more dependent on your interest. So if you are interested in computer engineering then opt for it. There will always be demand for it. But it is important that you do engineering from good college.Prepare for IIT-JEE, AIEEE or other state level exam to get into good engineering colleges. If you qualify in these exams with good score then you will get good engineering colleges. These colleges will also assist you in getting placed. So as a fresher you don't need to do lot of hard work in searching job. Feel free to ask further question.
