Hello Sir, I'm pursuing B.Sc. (Hons.) Maths - 2nd yr. I want to know what is the scope of 'M.Sc. Tech. industrial mathematics with computing science' in india?

Actually I am confused which line is good for my future. I searched about it very much on internet & i found many lines related to mathematics as Actuarial Science, Operational Research, Industrial Mathematics & Mathematical Modelling. So, please suggest me, which line is best for my future. And if you know the other lines related to maths so please inform me about it....

Abhinav there are ways by which you can decide in which area you want to go - go through the syllabus i.e what you have to study if you find that interesting then take up that course . or the kind of job you want to do after completing the course. There are lot of options after mathematics but important is to know your interest. Even in Maths you might not find certain thing interesting so there is no point going in that field . It is good to know about different lines but more than this also try to know what you have to study, your own ability and interest and then take up that course. Another thing when field are very specialised you might not get too many colleges offering that course. So it is good to keep 1 to 2 options so that if you don't get admission in one college then you can take admission on the basis of other option . Either find your interest on your own or reply me your interest area in maths then we can decide course according to that . There are also other lines apart from these - MCA, MBA, Chartered Accountant , Chartered Financial Analyst , Company Secretaryship , ICWA, statistics, cryptography, economics, Applied Mathematics , Computational Mathematics,Financial Mathematics. . You can try for job opportunities in Banks, defence, Indian Economics Services , or exams conducted by UPSC for Tax Assistant exam , Statistical Investigator exam , Grade III & Compiler Exam , Combined Graduate Level Exam ,e.t.c. If you are not able to decide your interest then one thing that i am able to find on basis of course suggested by you is that are more interested in applied mathematics and also use of computational analysis . So currently i will suggest you to read about course in M.SC ( Applied Mathematics) and Operational research . In these two course you will be learning almost everything. So first read about them. Actuarial science will be little different . First read about these course. If you don't like both of them then then read about actuarial science .If you are still interested to go in other course then reply me with your interest so that i can help you. Feel free to ask further question .
