Kedar in India biotech is still growing field. You will defenitely find opportunities in India but it will be more in abroad . It is application based field . Whatever concepts you have learnt in Biology, chemistry in your school it all have to be applied with the help of technology in the field of discovery of medicines, vaccines and diagnostics, increasing productivity,animal breeding., improving quality of seeds, insecticides and fertilizers , improving energy production and conservation e.t.c Genetic engineering can be studied as further specialisation in BIOTECH . You can take up the route of B.TECH or B.SC or M.SC in Biotech. It all depend upon your capabilities. I will suggest you to try for B.TECH if you are not able to do so then B.SC and then M.SC can be done. You can do B.SC in any life science and even then try for M.SC in BIOTECH . You can find job in biotechnology companies or biotech-related companies such as pharmaceutical firms, food manufacturers, aquaculture and agricultural companies , also company in the field of life science, teaching , research e.t.c. Some of the companies name where you can try for job are Hindustan Lever Ltd, Thapar Group, Indo-American Hybrid seeds, Biocon India Ltd, Bivcol, IDPL, India Vaccines Corporation, Hindustan Antibiotics, National Botanical Institute, National Chemical Laboratories, Tata Engineering Research Institute etc. I am also giving you some colleges name where you can apply for admission.
