should i move from teacher post to academic co-ordinator

I am a secondary teacher. now I want to move for the post of academic co-ordinator. is it helpful for my future career.

Coordinator's job is an add-on responsibility apart from teaching. In case you enjoy administrative responsibilities along with teaching and has benefits attached to it, then why not!! Most importantly, the new position should give you a sense of growth.
