Dear Karan,
There is no compulsion that after engineering in computer science one needs to go for mba in finance. it's an individual's choice. MBA is a degree which can be pursued after a graduate degree and is also best degree to change the career path.
So, if you want to make a career in finance and want to switch your career field then MBA is best way.

HI Karan
People might to switch to finance due to a number of reasons
But its important that you justify your reasons during the interview
I have seen many people to switch to finance field because the interest they developed in financial either during their under graduation studies or after under graduation
If you are keen on switching to finance develop your expertise on some of the key financial areas and communicate the interests to your interviewer
Some guys also take some professional exams like CFA,FRM to showcase their interest in financial field
So its very important that you plan things accordingly
Hope this helps
All the best for your future

Dont worry, 90% of PGPs at IIMs these days are from engineering background. You dont need to justify anything in the interview. There is no right answer. But still, if you want to throw some jargons on them, then tell that u r good in maths... and ur engg background will help u in understanding finance ( which is btw a very complex domain) ... so basically u can say that the aptitude of problem solving etc which u have developed in engg will help u in fin MBA. Also, try to add in the passion you have in you for finance. You feel that bcoz of its(finance's) complexity, it will provide u with challenging work in the future blah blah..
