This probably is one of the most interesting disciplines of engineering education which promises vast opportunities in future.Be it a television, a refrigerator, a computer or a satellite everything requires an electronic engineer. Kevin rose once said “I don’t care what it is, when it has an LCD screen, it makes it better.” Well, only an electronic engineer would understand that!

  • Can also work as backend professional who deals with timing related issues in a design.
  • One can work with EDA comapnies like Cadence, Magma,Synopsis etc. These develop tools to cater to semiconductor industries to carry their design process.

» To get an entry-level engineering job, one usually needs a bachelor's degree in engineering. . The career chronology to be a eectronics engineer is :

» The minimum eligibility required to get admission in Bachelors in civil engineering  is 10+2 with good marks.  

» The course requirements in 10+2 are Physics, Chemistry and Math.                       

»    The 10+2 mark cutoffs for admissions are different for different institutes. Ex: BITS-Pilani ( min 80%) IIT ( 60%)

»  Opportunities lies in going further for higher studies for Masters and Ph.D

»  At the Masters level, one can opt for specialized subjects like VLSI, Digital Electronics etc.

 

»  To take admissions in premier national institutes competitive exams are held every year BITSAT, IIT-JEE , AIEEE
