Mechanical Engineering - Of Cars and Motor !!

That motor in the aircraft which helps the aircraft take off is the ingenious of some mechanical engineer. The field uses almost all the principles of physics – kinematics, dynamics, thermodynamics, energy etc – along with advanced mathematics.
The recent developments in robotics are an interesting and creative area which uses knowledge of mechanical engineering.  If Archimedes without undergoing a study in mechanical engineering could make history, you sure can do the same. May be by studying mechanical engineering you will end up designing a new motor that would drive the fastest car ever. May be…..

How do I pursue this career ?

How do I pursue this career ??

» To get an entry-level engineering job, one usually needs a bachelor's degree in engineering. . The career chronology to be a mechanical engineer is :

» The minimum eligibility required to get admission in Bachelors in civil engineering  is 10+2 with good marks.

» The course requirements in 10+2 are Physics, Chemistry and Math.

»    The 10+2 mark cutoffs for admissions are different for different institutes. Ex: BITS-Pilani ( min 80%) IIT ( 60%)

»  Opportunities lies in going further for higher studies for Masters and Ph.D

»  At the Masters level, one can opt for specialized subjects like Robotics etc.

»  To take admissions in premier national institutes competitive exams are held every year BITSAT, IIT-JEE , AIEEE

»  State wide entrance exams are also held to take admission in regional engineering colleges.
