As I write these words, I am thankful to those teachers who taught me to write; and as you read them you should be grateful to the teachers who taught you to read.

Playing teacher-teacher must have been easy to every kid, but a real job of a teacher is a challenging one. A teacher moulds a student into a responsible human. Teaching is the noblest of professions. There is a quirky sense of contentment one gets on imparting knowledge to the ignorant and fresh minds.

So, if you want to inspire and instruct the next generation of musicians, mathematicians, nurses, scientists, astronauts, and philosophers, choose teaching! Teaching can also be second career for those who have retired from professional service as it does not retire with time or age.

How do I pursue this career ?

How do I pursue this career ??

» There are different qulaification and eligibility for teaching students of different grades. They are:

» For teaching  Middle schools  one requires Teachers Training Certificate (TTC) or its equivalent. The Minimum qualification required is 10+2

» To teach High school minimum qualification required is graduation and with a diploma/degree in teaching i.e Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Also must have studied at least one of the teaching subjects during graduation.

» To be a lecturer in college a post-graduate degree in the subject and B.Ed. is required.

» To be a lecturer in college a post-graduate degree in the subject and B.Ed. is required.

» To be a professor a Ph.D. degree is must with three years experience as lecturer / assistant professor.

» Also to teach in colleges one have to qualify the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants commission (UGC).
