The role of expert is to help individuals with career concerns and queries through counseling sessions and answering their questions. Topics can vary from career choice, admissions, colleges, jobs, career switch, career planning, career decision etc.
To become a Career Guide you need to register at Register-to-be-a-Career-Guide and give a small time compatibility Assessment.
As a Career Guide, you will need to address the career concerns of people. You can choose a particular area or subject or answer questions from each section. The answering can be done via phone call or on the Q&A forum of the website depending on the type of query. The sessions over phone are either half an hour or one hour long. Answering the questions on website can be done as per Career Guide’s convenience.
Students select you as a Career Guide and pay. They write their query which is routed to you via email and sms. Using technology platform of MeraCareerGuide.Com you can call them and conduct the counseling session over phone. The questions posted on the website will not be notified to you personally, but you can always check the Question section of your dashboard to see the unanswered questions which you can answer.
No, your contact details- Phone No, E-mail ID, Address will not be shared with any of the students. They will only have access to your public profile. Students will be able to reach you only through our technology platform which has inbuilt functionality for E-mails and Phone.
Those who have been working as professional counselors or intend to work full time as a career counselor and have rich knowledge in their field can become Career Guide. They will have to register on this link Register-to-be-a-Career-Guide and take a small time compatibility test. Once you have submitted the assessment, based on that and your profile we will approve you as a Career Guide. We expect our Career Guides to have that passion and dedication in their work so that we can provide the best counseling experience to the students.
You can guide Subjects, Topic-Areas which you are comfortable with and master. There is no particular restriction on number of areas as long as you have expertise in them.
There is no fixed hours expected from you. When a student selects you to answer a question then you are immediately informed via E-mail and SMS. We have commitment of answering a question within 24 Hrs for telephonic counseling. For answering questions on the Q&A forum there’s no restriction.
No, there are no fixed hours or time. You have flexibility to log on at your convenience. When a student selects you to answer a question then you are immediately informed via E-mail and SMS. We have commitment of conducting a telephonic counseling session within 24 Hrs. Therefore you will have to take the session within that time period. For answering questions on the Q&A forum, there’s no such time limit. However we encourage you to answer them as soon as possible. That will help you earn more credibility.
Yes, besides being a satisfying job, we will reward you with money. For each guidance/counseling session you take you are rewarded with certain number of points. These points are redeemed in monetary terms.
We pay for answering the questions posted on our website. Just like the counseling sessions, answering the questions will give you certain points that will help you build your reputation online. The points again will be redeemed in monetary terms.
The earning points are the indicator of a Career Guide’s contribution. Career Guides can earn the points either by taking a counseling session or by answering a question. The points are redeemed in monetary terms once you have accumulated 1000 points.
On taking a counseling session of 30 minutes, the Career Guide will get 200 points. For a 60 minutes counseling session, the points allotted are 320. Similarly the Career Guide will earn points by answering questions on the Q&A forum. The points allotted in that case will depend on the length of the answer and also how quickly the Career Guide has responded to that. The points are directly converted in to money (in INR) without any multiplication factor. For example, if you have 2000 points in your account – you will receive an amount of Rs 2000.
You will be sent money via Check, DD or Netbanking transfer.
Whenever you gain minimum of 1000 points, we release your payment. Please note that points are equivalent to money. Number of points = Rupees you earn.
Your expertise areas are decided by your qualification and experience and screening of your registered profile.
Yes, there is screening and filtration to select Career Guides. Each application is carefully screened along with scores of time compatibility test.
Yes, you can share your contact details on Q&A platform. But ensure that you do not spam it. Give valid information and then share your details, if you wish individuals to contact you directly.
