Some thousand years ago, when students both from humble and royal families took education at the residence of their teacher i.e Guru-Kul. The syllabus consisted of various arts and subjects and different types of vocational courses. In those days to become the World Citizen was the final aim of education.
So, in those days, in the Guru Kul, the day started long before sunrise. And the first session was that of Surya Namaskar (Worshipping the Sun God),
Suryanamaskar is a form of Yoga and an all-round exercise for all which requires coordination between the body movement and breathing. Performing Suryanamaskar results in sound Body and sharp mind.
But today's curriculum teach to stay ahead in marks race with pressure of exams and competitions. Students are under constant pressure and live a very stressful life. To revive our old tradition and bring value to education Nachiketa Tapovan organised a mass suryanamaskar at on 22 Nov. in L.B.Stadium, Hyderabad.
More than 1000 students took part from more than 30 schools of twin cities.Students were told about the benefits of this excercise and how it could help them to maintain a healthy body and intellectual mind.
