According to IIT-JEE there will be two three hours question papers.
Paper 1 : From 0900 hr to 1200 hrs (Indian Standard Time [IST])
Paper 2 : From 1400 hr to 1700 hrs (Indian Standard Time [IST])

Both the paper will contain three section, i.e. "Mathematics", "Physics" and "Chemistry". All the questions in both paper will be of objective type. Student need to mark the correct answer into OMR sheet....

In a way yes and in a way no. Yes because, both the examination has almost 80% of similar course. So if you prepare for CBSE you are covering the course of IIT-JEE also. But only course is not the factor here, thus the reason to say no is because apart from course they dont have any similarity. They have different examination pattern. In CBSE you will deal with mostly subjective question(some are true/false and fill in the blanks) but in IIT-JEE all of them will be objective. The marking scheme is different in both as you can write anything in CBSE and you'll get some marks but for a wrong answer in IIT-JEE, you will get negative marks. The time management for the examination is different. But this doesnt means you cant crack IIT-JEE if you are not preparing for it. Try to solve previous year question papers and sample papers at home within the same time limit as of IIT-JEE. This can make you full prepared for IIT-JEE while preparing for CBSE.
