First of all don't look at what your friends are targeting. It's no point going with Herd Mentality. Your friends might be targeting automobile or aeronautical because they might be fascinated by aircrafts, Machines etc.

To be confused is very common a thing, I was confused myself at your age. It's important to realise where you want to be in your career and what is more important to you ...Money ? Satisfaction ? Name ? Respect ?

Second never make your financial Condition a reason to be a show stopper for your studies. Whether you would have taken EAMCET Coaching or IIT Coaching subjects, topics remain same. At the end you trying to be an engineer.

Now your avenues of becoming an engineer i still open only difference is that you might not get admission into IIT but I am sure you can easily get admission in local engineering college. So now, decide on you want to take up engineering , if yes then decide which engineering subjects you want ....

First of all I will suggest you not to go for distance education for B.Tech. Because this will not help you more in your career.For getting a good career option do full time B.Tech.

Lateral Entry Engineering Test(LEET) is a examination through which you can take admission in 2nd year or 3rd semester of BE/B.Tech engineering.


you can take admission in the BE/BTech programs if:

1:you pass any diploma degree of minimum 3 years after 10th.


you pass any diploma degree of minimum 2 years after 12th from any polytechnic institute affiliated with State Board of Technical Education(SBTE) or any University, or recognized by UGC/AICTE with minimum of 60% marks and 55% marks for SC/ST in aggregate or any gradation system

2:you qualify LEET with at least 20% aggregate marks and 15% for SC/ST students

3:you are a citizen of India.

If you have fulfilled the above conditions then you would be eligible for appearing in the entrance test organized by AICTE to enter into BE/B.Tech.
