Hi,

There is a lot of difference between BA Psychology and BA (Hons) Psychology.

In BA Psychology you will taught Psychology as one subject with other subjects like Hindi, English, Philosophy, Political Science etc….. but if you opt for a BA (Hons) in Psychology you will be taught only Psychology and its various Subjects like Child Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Research Methodology, Abnormal Psychology etc…..

BA (Hons) in Psychology will be anytime better than doing a BA Psychology course because it will help you gain a better understanding of the subject concerned.

Best Wishes!

Your BA LLB degree is enough to find job in the field of NGO, legal advisor . I will suggest you to find what kind of companies are coming for placement as lot of law firms or big corporates recruit fresher in the field of legal consultancy. If such companies are not coming then you are in problem as you need to try on your own. After B. A LLB MBA HR is more of optional thing.Go for MBA HR if you don't get placed then you can try in this and please this time go to college which had good placement record so you need not search for job. There are lot of coaching institutes like Career launcher, Times, IMS Learning Centre, Erudite,Career Forum etc so that you can prepare for CAT, MAT, XAT , SNAP e.t.c As far as other career option are concerned tell me what is your interest so that i can advise you properly.... ► Read more

Hi

There are options to do BA through Distance with a Major in Psychology. Some of the Universities offering this course will be:

1. Osmania University: You can choose to do a BA with 3 optional courses- Psychology being one of them. Other subjects of your interest could be Sociology and History. Find the Undergrad Prospectus at the website http://www.oucde.ac.in/ug/ugprosp.pdf
2. IGNOU is also having a 3 years B.A programme in psychology. Have a look at http://www.ignou.ac.in/schools/soss/Psychology%20AD/final.pdf

However, if you would like to pursue it after your BE(as you also mentioned), then again Osmania and IGNOU provide great P.G. Diploma/ Certificate/ M.A courses in Psychology and these would be a great option if you would like to work later as a freelance psychologist/counsellor or work at NGOs, Rehab Centres or even as an HR manager in Corporate Circles....

Hi Jaya,

You can pursue BA LLB degree as it is more popularized and in demand.

As per my suggestion it is good if you pursue one course at a time as you can concentrate more on it. Many universities does not allow to pursue any course or job with their degree . After completion of your BA LLB course you can take up part time or distance course in any law specialization along with practice. All extra specializations done are add on to you profile. Which will help you to get better job opportunities.

Hope this helps

Good luck...
