It is absolutely wrong to say that civil engineering jobs are not suited for girls. You should know that almost 25% of the civil engineering students are females. If you like it also you should definitely become a civil engineering. It is a highly demanding sector and there are a lot of jobs in this field. If your college offers placements and you have the right talent you will definitely get a campus placement.

As a civil engineer, you will have to plan out, design and supervise the construction of different types of buildings. You need to posses good knowledge of mathematics and science. Also, you must also have good supervisory and administrative skills.

Furthermore, you must be ready to sweat it out at construction sites and even work under stressful and hostile conditions

Girls can opt for office jobs like analysis, designing, tendering, managing projects and many other office jobs.So if you think you have the will power to enter this male dominant engineering, just do it. Don’t let others decide your future, if you want to be a civil engineer just go for it. In future you surely can opt for off-site jobs if you think on-site jobs are a bit difficult due to surroundings or circumstances

In IT engineering you will be working in office so there is no chance of any physical stress. So see your abilities , interest the kind of challenge you want to take up and make career in it. If it is civil engineering more appealing to you then take up this as career option....

You have completed 12th in 1992.Its a long time back. So I want to know after that what you have done, if you are doing job then in which field?

To do civil engineering Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics is necessary in your 12th.So I am sorry to say in that case you cant do that.

But if you have Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects in your 10th and have minimum of 2 year working experience in construction industry in any capacity then you can do Diploma in Civil Engineering.
