It is sad t hear that you have failed in your 11th class. It is very tough as well so you should not feel sad for that as well. Instead you should work hard this time.

As you said that you got a grade of 6 in your 10th and still took science that is actually not the case there are many people who do not score good marks in their class 10th because they do not like a particular subject but they score good marks once in 11th as they like the subject a lot.

Probably this happened with you because you do not like the Stream. So it would be better to change it. You can go for Commerce if you have interest and Aptitude for it.

You can choose any of the two depending on the area of your interest,as both the course are good if you do it from a good college.

For becoming a lecturer you will have to qualify the NET exam. You will also hve to do a Phd after that.

First you should make up your main as to whether you are willing to study more which will provide you with a good salary and package more easily and in a lesser span of time . The minimum educational qualification is graduation from any stream The exam has three stages- prelims, mains(those who are selected in the preliminary examination only are eligible to appear in mains). and those who get selected in mains they have to appear in interview .

Preliminary exam consists of two papers Which is common for all candidates from 2011 i.e., No optional paper is there in CSP form 2011.This is the first stage of Civil Services Examination. This is an Objective type examination consisting of Two Papers that is common to all candidates from 2011 . It comprises of comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each and of two hours duration each.

Civil Services Main examination has two optional subjects (two papers each carries 300 marks), one General Studies (two papers each carries 300 marks), one essay (carries 200 marks) - total 2000 marks. Other than this, there are two language papers one in Indian language and one in General English at the level of 10th standard. This is to test the ability of the candidate's proficiency in his mother tongue / Indian language and English. Total nine papers. These two papers carry 300 marks each but it will not be considered for the ranking. It is must to clear these two papers. If a candidate fails to clear these papers, his other papers will not be evaluated.
