First of all, SC and ST are two different quotas. According to AIEEE there are 15% of total seats reserved for SC students and there are 7.5% of total seats reserved for ST students. Yes the probability of chances are high if you have any of the quota but on the same time the competition is very high even in quotas. You need to clear the cutoff first. So even if you have quota that doesnt mean you dont have to work hard. You can crack AIEEE only if you study hard. Also hard work is not only required to crack AIEEE cutoff but also needed to get the topmost colleges of NIT's. Armed Forces Medical Services as Commissioned Officers in one of the three services, viz.
Army, Navy and Air Force. The first three promotions are time scale promotions as under

(a) Lieutenant (Lt) on joining (during internship).
(b) To the rank of Captain on completion of internship.
(c) To the rank of Major after 4 years of service as Captain.
(d) To the rank of Lt Col after 11 years of service as Captain.
(e) To the rank of Colonel and above by selection.

Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institute recognised by MCI / DCI, and must have completed / completing their internship by April of the year of entrance examination.(30 April 2012)

Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical / dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of the admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
