Yes, you'll crack the AIEEE in this score. According to 2011 year, the cutoff for Gen Category is 48, for OBC its 45 and for SC/ST and PH its 18.
Along with this, you have to clear the minimum cutoff of each subject separately. If you fail to qualify the minimum cutoff of any subject, you will not be able to qualify the AIEEE examination and then you'll not be able eligible for any of NIT....

The chances are fare. According to 2011 list you will get admission into NIT. As you said your score is around 215, you will get the following colleges NIT, Durgapur, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Raipur, NIT Patna, NIT Silchar, NIT Agartala.

Since you got the approximate idea from here, do some homework now. Prepare a list of course in the desired college. According to your rank, you may get into other NITs (the ranking varies years to years) so you may include then. And apply for the same in online counselling process....

As you said you'll score some where around 200+ you'll surely eligible for NITs. But its hard to get desired course in most of the NITs. According to last year cutoff, you may get NIT Durgapur West Bengal, Dr. B R Ambedkar NIT - Jalandhar Punjab, NIT - Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh, Jamshedpur Jharkhand, Raipur Chhattisgarh, Patna Bihar, Agartala Tripura on your side. But to get desire course in other NIT will be a bit difficult. So prepare your preference list according to that. According to me you must prefer a course over a college.... ► Read more
The minimum marks require to qualify AIEEE examination according to 2011 are following.
For Gen category : 48 marks
For OBC category : 45 marks
For ST/SC or PH : 18 marks.

So the qualifying marks this year will be somewhere around this figure only. Although the AIEEE changed its pattern of examination, qualifying marks and the seats are increased in past few years many a times. Thus it is hard to say the exact qualifying will be same or not. But for sure they will be around this figure. Also to get in NITs you need to score exceptional well as the minimum marks will make you eligible for AIEEE counselling but not for NITs. The competition is high. So be prepared for it. Make a list of preferred colleges and lock the best college in counselling....

As per 2011 list of AIEEE examination qualification a general student need to score minimum 48 marks, OBC student need to score 45 marks and the students belongs tp ST/SC or PH category need to score 18 marks. Hi,

You will definitely qualify the AIEEE exam with 120 marks. Normally the cutoff pattern shows that students who score above 50 marks qualify the AIEEE exam. You need not worry about qualifying the exam.
But the problem of concern could be that if you will get a good AIEEE college or not because with 172 marks you will not be able to manage a good rank and subsequently a good college.
But you need not worry there are many colleges that take the AIEEE score and you will definitely make through them.

Best Wishes!

Qualifying AIEEE is not a big deal but to secure a seat in good institute is a big nut to crack. As from the above answer, It is clear that the qualifying marks is very low for AIEEE and you can easily qualify it if you score the marks posted by you.But as I said earlier the important is to secure a seat in good college and that is only possible if you share your other details like your schooling state etc.
